165228b0ef launchd: restore gui domain defaults
Some checks are pending
/ triage (push) Waiting to run
GitHub Pages / publish (ubuntu-latest) (push) Waiting to run
User-domain agents are not rediscovered from the user LaunchAgents directory after reboot. Let built-in agents inherit the GUI default while keeping explicit user-domain configuration available.

a9232b8b10 launchd: use user domain for background agents
Move non-graphical Darwin services out of the GUI launchd domain so they can be managed from non-Aqua contexts such as SSH sessions.

355734d876 treewide: remove literalExpression where unneeded
`literalExpression` is intended just to signify code that needs to stay
a string that gets represented exactly as-is for docs. It has been
misused heavily and people get confused repeatedly on when or not to use
it because of the rampant misuse.

01ea51d706 treewide: use inherit for attribute assignments
This change converts redundant attribute assignments of the form `a =
a;` or `a = someSet.a;` into cleaner `inherit` statements. This reduces
verbosity and follows common Nix style for bringing attributes into
scope.

Statix Codes: W03 (manual_inherit), W04 (manual_inherit_from)

Also include statix and the rule in our configuration.

tree-wide: remove redundant platform checks
Some checks failed
/ triage (push) Has been cancelled
GitHub Pages / publish (ubuntu-latest) (push) Has been cancelled
In the code base, there are lots of configurations locally guarded by
`stdenv.hostPlatform.is(Darwin|Linux)` despite the targeted options
already being guarded. Examples for these targeted options are:

- `systemd.user.*`: globally guarded by `systemd.user.enable`.
- `launchd.*`: globally guarded by `launchd.enable`.
- `lib.hm.darwin.assertInterval`: only effective on Darwin.

These local guards are an antipattern since they weaken the global
guards. Furthermore, they hamper readability. This series of commits
remove instances of these local guards.

pueue: enable darwin configuration (#7519)
This commit enables configuring pueue for darwin. pueue already builds fine for darwin and all that was needed was a `launchd` agent.

treewide: null package support (#6582)
Can generate the config without installing application through home-manager. Helpful when a package is broken (or not provided) on a specific platform through nixpkgs and needs to be installed through other means but you still can benefit from the declarative configuration.

9f9e277b60 treewide: remove now-redundant lib.mdDoc calls
These (and the `*MD` functions apart from `literalMD`) are now no-ops
in nixpkgs and serve no purpose other than to add additional noise and
potentially mislead people into thinking unmarked DocBook documentation
will still be accepted.

Note that if backporting changes including documentation to 23.05,
the `mdDoc` calls will need to be re-added.

To reproduce this commit, run:

36a53d9f26 treewide: convert all option docs to Markdown
This process was automated by [my fork of `nix-doc-munge`]. All
conversions were automatically checked to produce the same DocBook
result when converted back, modulo minor typographical/formatting
differences on the acceptable-to-desirable spectrum.
